Katie is well known in New Zealand and Australia for her incredible style and attention to details in her phenomenal raceday ensembles.
The mum of four girls, dairy farmer and keen equestrian is as at home on a horse as she is on the fashion stage.
As the Winner of the Prix de Fashion 2020 (the national race wear title), she is one of the judges for the Caroline Meo Bayleys Fashion in the Field 2022.
What will you be looking for in a winning outfit?
A stand out outfit makes you look twice, how have the details been put together? The small details can make or break an outfit- shoes, nails are all a part of a great outfit.
What tips would you give to somebody wanting to give the competition a try for the first time?
Look at social media and what is trending on the runways, follow the race day groups- All About the Sash and NZ Racing Fashion. As well as milliners like Monika Neuhauser Millinery, Belinda Green Millinery, Claire Hahn Millinery and Anel Heyman.
What completes a great raceday outfit?
A dazzling smile, the right lip color and a glass of champagne.
