Impressive wins by Falcons Drama Queen, The Stoney One and Jimmysstar were among the highlights at today’s Hastings jumpouts.

There were 11 heats run in persistent rain, with the course proper track providing extremely heavy footing.

Falcons Drama Queen had no trouble scampering through the testing conditions, racing to a big lead in the early stages of her 750m heat and keeping up a strong run to the line to win by 6 lengths in a time of 50.8s.

She is a filly Mongolian Falcon in the Vicki Wilson stable who could make her race debut in a 950m race on the synthetic track at Cambridge.

The Stoney One clocked the quickest time of the ten 750m heats when scoring comfortably by 1-1/4 lengths in 49.7s. The Pierro four-year-old contested the open class heat and beat Blissful Belle, Sprint Tide and Callsign Mav.

The Stoney One recorded a win and two seconds from three starts earlier this season and was then given a lengthy spell. He looks to have come back in great order.

Stablemate Jimmysstar also looks to have come back in great condition following a spell and he looked to have plenty in reserve when winning his 750m heat by  long neck. The Per Incanto showed good potential when scoring a decisive maiden win at Wanganui in April.

Others to show up nicely at the jumpouts were a Lonhro two-year-old gelding in the John Bary stable, Bedtime Story, Zambezi Khan and last start winner Swazi.
