Kayzino, who will line up in the Maiden 2100m race on the Awapuni synthetic track, was not doing much more than three-quarter pace when running a solo 1200m in 1:24.3, the last 600 in 41.8. The Tarzino filly turned in a good effort for third over 1700m on the Awapuni synthetic track on debut and looks to have trained on well.
Flying Angel worked with Celebrity over 1000m in 1:08.2, the last 600 in 38.5 and Flying Angel will contest the maiden 1700m race at Awapuni on Friday.
Uncle Ken was keen to go faster when restricted to just three-quarter pace over 800m, the last 600 in 41.3. He is also entered for the maiden 1700m race at Awapuni.
No Trumps, another who is likely to line up in the maiden 1700m race at Awapuni, was kept to just three-quarter pace over 800m, the last 600 taking 43.1. He turned in a much improved performance for second over 1400m on the Awapuni synthetic track last start.
Basil The Greek and Porters Way, both in Dean Howard’s stable, worked together over 1000m in 1:08.5, the last 600 in 38.9 while Agent Orange ran a solo 1000m in 1:08.1, the last 600 in 39.
Testwin, in the early stages of a fresh campaign, was let off with an easy 800m, the last 600 in 44.1 while his stablemate Pepperoni clocked 55,8 for 800m, the last 600 in 41.7. She is likely to make her race debut in a 1200m maiden race at Awapuni on Friday.
Sunshine Ale, another entered for the 1200m maiden at Awapuni, was given an easy 800m in 57.2, the last 600 in 44.1. She went a much improved race for third on the Awapuni synthetic track last start.
Mount Cook and Father Ted ran an easy 600m in 43.8 while Night Owl clocked 56.1 for an easy 800m, the last 600 in 42.9.
