Duncan Creek, preparing for the Waipukurau Cup at Woodville this Sunday, was given a searching solo gallop at today’s Hastings trackwork session.

Fast work was confined to the plough which provided soft footing.

Duncan Creek worked over a round and was timed to run the last 1200m in 1:16.5. He took 38s to run from the 1200 to the 600 and came home there in 38.5s.

The Super Easy five-year-old will get another chance to run out a strong 1600m on Sunday.

Pinker and Titan, two horses from the Lowry/Zydenbos stable likely to start at Woodville, worked strongly together over 800m in 52.8, the last 600 in 37.6.

Pinker was running on well for fifth over 1200m on debut and will be entered for the Maiden 1400m race while Titan has been placed in two barrier trials and will contest the maiden 1200m event.

Fancy Like Lass and Celebrity worked together over 800m in 52.2, running the first 200m in 14.8 before coming home the last 600 in 37.4. Fancy Like Lass looks to be coming up well in a new campaign.

Faster Sooner Now and a Proisir four-year-old mare worked in from the 800m peg in 50.2, running the first 200m in an easy 14.4 before sprinting home the last 600 in a quick 35.8.

Free Bee ran a solo 100om in 1:06.6, the last 600 in 38.5 and she may start in the Rating 65 race over 1200m at Woodville on Sunday, providing track conditions are not too testing.

Impressive last start winner Kalledu Thunder was let off with 800m of three-quarter pace, coming home the last 600 in 43.3. He lines up in the three-year-old race over 1400m at Trentham this Friday.

It’s Amelia turned in the quickest time of the morning when sprinting 800m on her own in 50.9, the last 600 in 35.5. She has been mixing her form of late but has been placed several times in the past and could be ready to show up again on race day.

Exit Left worked over 1200m on his own in 1:22.7, the last 600 in 39.2. He is a gelding by Turn Me Loose who could make his race debut in the maiden 1400m race at Woodville.

Nakajima worked over a round and was timed to run the last 1200m in 1:18.2, the final 600 in 38 while Satomi also worked over 1200m and is another who could line up at Woodville on Sunday.

Poukawa clocked 52.9 for an easy 800m, running home the last 600 in 38.1 while Mount Cook and Media Puppet were not pressured when running 800m in 55.5, the last 600 in 39.1.
