TRACKWORK | 14 OCTOBER 2025

Fancy Like Lass hit out well in a quiet Hastings trackwork session this morning.

Any serious work was carried out on the plough, which provided soft footing.

Fancy Like Lass worked in at three-quarter pace from the 800m peg and came home the last 600 in 44.3. The Hellbent mare looks to be coming up well in a fresh campaign.

She will probably have a run at the Foxton trials next Tuesday before resuming in the Open 1000m race at Trentham on October 26.

Exit Left worked very easily when running a solo 800m, the last 600 in 48.1. He could either run in the Rating 65 race over 1600m at Otaki on Thursday or a race over the same distance at Trentham on Saturday.

Ocean Beau clocked 56.6 for a solo 800m, the last 600 in 40.3. He is a half-brother to Fancy Like Lass, by Ocean Park, and is also in the Thompson/Brown stable.

A Per Incanto three-year-old filly trained by Richard McKenzie and Jordan Bassett worked in from the 800m peg at three-quarter pace, quickening slightly over the last 600 in 39.8 while stablemate Wild Thyme ended an easy 800m workout with 600m in 41.9.

Prestissimo worked over 800m early in the session but could not be timed in the bad light while No Trumps ended his 800m workout with 600m in 43.6.
