Stablemates Rosalita and Speed Dial, both preparing for Sunday’s Masterton meeting at Tauherenikau, worked well together at this morning’s Hastings trackwork session.
There was very little in the way of fast work, which was confined to the plough.
Rosalita was on the outside of Speed Dial when they worked over 1000m in 1:05.9, the first 400m taking 27.1 and the final 600 in 38.8. It was good work by both horses.
Rosalita recorded a good second placing over 1200m at Wanganui two starts back and was then forced to cover a lot of extra ground when unplaced over 1400m at Taupo while Speed Dial has had one start for a fast finishing second over 1300m at Tauherenikau earlier this month.
Porters Way and a Preferment two-year-old colt, both trained by Dean Howard, worked together over 800m in 53.9, the last 600 in 38.7.
Paradis worked over a round and was timed to come home the last 1000m in 1:11.9, the final 600 in 40.6.
