Abeecee, preparing for Saturday’s Otaki meeting, took the time honours at this morning’s Hastings trackwork session.

Fast work was confined to the plough which provided good footing.

Abeecee had trainer Caitlin Johnson aboard when working over 1000m in 1:06.9. She ran the first 400m in an easy 40s before quickening appreciably over the last 600 in 36.9.

The Belardo mare was a last start winner over 2140m on the Awapuni synthetic track and will contest a Rating 65 race over 2100m at Otaki this Saturday.

Our Boy Archie and Jim Dandy, who are both likely starters in the maiden 2200m race at Waverley on Friday, were not hurried when working over 1200m together in 1:27.1, the last 600 in 46.3.

Touch Of Paradise, who will probably contest the steeplechase at Te Aroha on Sunday, ended two round with a solid last 1200m in 1:21.9 and final 600 in 38.7. It was excellent work for a jumper.

Vincero ended his work with 600m in 38.9 and he could start at either Waverley this Friday or Te Aroha on Sunday.

A Mongolian Falcon two-year-old gelding in Dean Howard’s stable clocked 39.8 for 600m while Zero Tolerance and a Turn Me Loose two-year-old gelding ran an easy 600m in 43.6.

Suave worked over 800m at three-quarter pace, the last 600 in 44.1 while a Per Incanto two-year-old filly underwent similar work, running the last 600m in 45.4.
