There was little in the way of fast work at this morning’s Hastings trackwork session, with several horses from the centre competing at the Foxton trials later in the day.
Exit Left had co-trainer Mick Brown aboard when running an easy 1000m in 1:17.4, coming home the last 600 in 44.3. The Turn Me Loose four-year-old has recorded two good minor placings since resuming from a spell and could start next in a Rating 65 race over 1400m at Hawera on July 12.
Gohugo worked early in the session and was timed to run an easy 1000m in 1:11. He has been runner-up in his last two starts on the Awapuni synthetic track and will return to the same venue on Friday of next week.
Celebrity was another from the Thompson/Brown stable given an easy workout over 1000m, clocking 1:17 and the final 600 in 44.4. He is a Shocking three-year-old who performed well in a recent Waipukurau jumpout and is likely to head to the next round of Foxton trials.
