Wewillrock underwent a nice solo workout on his own at this morning’s Hastings trackwork session.

There was little in the way of fast work, which was confined to the plough.

Wewillrock worked in from the 800m peg in 54.9, running the first 200m in an easy 14.8s before increasing the speed slightly over the last 600 in 40.1.

Wewillrock looks to have come on well since his fresh up run over 1200m at Trentham two weeks ago and will line up next in the Listed $80,000 City Of Napier Sprint (1200m) at Otaki on April 13.

Free Thyme worked in from the 1000m peg on her own in 1:14.1, running the first 400m at three-quarter pace before quickening over the last 600 in 38.3. He also looks to be coming up well and will head to the Foxton trials next Tuesday.

Paradis also worked in easily from the 800m peg in 56.4, speeding up slightly over the last 600 in 40.4.

A two-year-old filly by Tivaci and two-year-old geldings by Mongolian Khan and Ten Sovereigns, all in the Lowry/Zydenbos stable, were kept to just three-quarter pace over 800m in 56.8, the last 600 in 42.7.
