The stabemates Exit Left and Creation stretched out nicely when working separately in a quiet trackwork session at Hastings today.

Most horses worked on the plough, which provided soft footing, and were restricted to just three-quarter pace.

Exit Left had co-trainer Mick Brown aboard when working in from the 800m peg at three-quarter pace, quickening over the last 400m in 25.4. The Turn Me Loose gelding has not raced since finishing second over 2040m at Wanganui in May but looks to be coming up well in another preparation.

Creation also worked over 800m on his own and was timed to run home the last 600 in 41.6. The Dundeel gelding has also not raced since May and looks to be coming up well again.

Basil The Greek ran a solo 800m in 54.8, the last 600 in 40.2  and he could race next on the Awapuni synthetic track.

Sicarius was another who looked to be stretching out well at the end of his 1000m workout. He is a four-year-old by Savabeel in Aaron Bidlake’s stable and could contest a maiden 1340m race at Wanganui this Sunday.

Sunshine Ale was kept under a strong hold when running 600m in 43.3 while Queenie was timed to run 800m in 58.4, the last 600 in 42.4.

Mount Cook work in at three-quarter pace from the 800m peg and was timed to run the last 600 in 44 while stablemate Buzzy Bee was not hurried when running the last 600 of his work in 44.9. He is a big three-year-old gelding by Turn Me Loose.

Adera was one of only two horses to work on the firm No.1 grass and was timed to run home the last 600m in 41.6 while a Preferment two-year-old in the Lowry/Zydenbos stable worked over 800m on the plough at three-quarter pace, the last 600 in 42.2.
