Duncan Creek, who lines up in the open sprint on his home track on Saturday, worked strongly in company at this morning’s Hastings trackwork session.

Fast work was confined to the plough, which provided good footing.

Duncan Creek worked with Satomi over 1000m, running the first 400m in an easy 29.3 before quickening appreciably over the lasty 600 in 35.8.

Duncan Creek looks to have trained on well since his game last start win over 1300m at Trentham. Kate Hercock will again ride him on Saturday.

Candle worked early in the session and was kept under a good hold when running 800m in 56.2, the last 600 in 41.6. She is another who looks to have trained on the right way since her last start win and will contest the Rating 75 race over 1200m at Hastings on Saturday.

Testwin, preparing for a maiden 1600m race at Hastings on Saturday, was restricted to not much more than three-quarter pace over 800m in 58.8, the last 600 in 42.8. He is a half-brother to Nedwin and won a 1200m trial at Foxton last month.

Eparaima was another who worked early in the session and ran an easy 800m in preparation for the Rating 65 race over 1400m on Saturday. She was an unlucky third over 1400m at Hastings last start, when denied clear racing room in the home straight.

Wolf Dance was given two 600m runs on his own, the first in an easy 42.3s and the second a bit faster, in 39.1. She is a Tivaci four-year-old mare who was unplaced in two starts in the north and has been transferred to the Lowry/Zydenbos stable.

Rosalita and an All Too Hard-Breath Of Wind two-year-old filly, both in the Lowry/Zydenbos stable, worked together over 800m in 55.1, the last 600 in 39.1 while Free Thyme, in his first serious run along for some time, ended his work with 600m in 42.4.

An Alamosa three-year-old and one by Time Test, both in the Lowry/Zydenbos stable, worked together over 800m in 53.5, the last 600 in 38.2 while Time To Star and Celebrant clocked 1:12.3 for an easy 1000m, the last 600 in 39.6.

Time To Star is a three-year-old half-sister to the highly promising Jimmysstar.
