It was another quiet session at the Hastings track this morning with several horses from the centre heading to the Waipukurau jumpouts later in the day.
Say I Do, a likely starter at Sunday’s Awapuni synthetic track meeting, worked over 1000m on the plough in 1:15.2, the last 600 in 40.8 and looked to be stretching out well at the finish. The Pierro mare was a last start fourth over 1000m on the Awapuni synthetic track and will be stepped up to 1400m on Sunday.
Curtsy and Sunshine Al, two members of the Lowry/Zydenbos stable, worked together over 1000m in 1:10.1, the last 600 in 39.
Curtsy is another likely starter in a maiden 1400m race on the Awapuni synthetic track on Sunday.
Flying Angel worked over 1200m on her own in 1:23.1, the last 600 in 39.1 She will be stepped up in distance to 1700m at Awapuni on Sunday.
Katsu, who has not long been back in the Lowry/Zydenbos stable, was kept under a hold when running 800m, the last 600 in 41.
