IN Our Horses
TRACKWORK | 30 JUNE 2026
John Jenkins | June 30, 2026

There was little in the way of fast work at this morning’s Hastings trackwork session, with several horses from the centre competing at the Levin trials later in the day and others just restricted to pacework.

There were two gallops recorded on the No.1 grass, which provided soft footing.

Prestissimo had co-trainer Jordan Bassett aboard when sprinting 600m in 37.5 and was stretching out well at the finish.

The Time Test mare looks to be coming up well in a new preparation and could resume racing at either Waverley this Saturday or Otaki the following Friday.

Carbon Credit and Our Boy Charlie worked together over 1000m in 1:09.3, running the first 400m in an easy 31.1 before quickening over the last 600 in 38.2.

Carbon Credit was a last start fourth over 2140m on the Awapuni synthetic track and that followed a 1600m trial win at Foxton. He is entered for a maiden 1700m race on the Awapuni synthetic track this Friday.

His stablemate La Dulcin’ee is also entered for Friday’s Awapuni meeting, where she will contest a 1200m event. She was restricted to two rounds of pacework on the plough this morning
